Linda Anderson did us all proud on this blog hop. As you all know she put in a lot of work selecting our partners, getting us all ready for this big day and taking on,is it two, is it three partners on top of that. I’ve been folowing her adventures in her blog.
My partner was Susanna Stelljes. WE can’t even speak each others languages but we managed to communicate. Ok we communicated in English, its me that can’t speak her language. Here is a link to her blog, which is managed in a completely different way than mine, and maybe yours. she chose to organize her blog with pictures, so you get the ig picture right away and then you can go in and look at all the little pictures
queek ever helpful

I organized mine around words. words mean more to me that pictures. Although I write daily, I’m never as good with them as I want to be. One of my other social media delights is playing words with friends.
Here are the jewelries I made for the blog hop. Thanks to the bright ,opalescent colors Susanne sent they are more exuberant than my usual. First up are the earrings. I so enjoyed making them. I sat down and made them the day I received my beads. I think they are the best earrings I have ever made.
Next is the curvy pearly bracelet. Such lovely colors. This bracelet has already found a home.
Then I made a bugle bead bracelet with a knotted clasp. I cannot say this idea was mine, I saw someone else make  a bracelet this way. but I did not get who they were. However the idea stayed with me as I am always looking for good new ideas for bugle beads. Bugle beads are surprisingly useful and right now they are my favorite bead.I also started a  but haven’t finished it. The same for the little beaded bead. I just enjoyed all those colors and beads so much.
Last is a celadon bracelet, a bangle with no clasp. Here I used a trick I have seen used in commercial jewelry. Stretchy thread. I made an inch of beadwork with it so the bracelet will slide over your hand. I toyed with ideas of various sorts of embellishment but the supreme simplicity of the monotone effect was so pleasing I left it simple.

As you can tell from everything I had a wonderful time with this blog hop. Now I’m off to the hopping part to check out what everyone else made. By the way, I'm recommending you start with the seed beaders. That's where all the excitement is!

Hi Shiela, The earrings and bracelet are both great. The pearls you chose for accents really make it stand out.

Oh how sweet, how cute, how pretty!
The jewellery is not bad either! ;-)

You have done a great job on your pieces. Just the right kind of colours to brighten up my day. And I think your cat has the sweetest eyes.

Wonderful designs. I always admire seed bead designs for the patience and dedication it must take. And yours look amazing.

Beautiful beadwork! I love the green bracelet with the blue pearls....stunning Also love that last bracelet made with bugle beads. I looks like some kind of prehistoric insect! Very cool!

Lovely pieces! I am very impressed by your work with seed beads--something I still struggle with. Nicely done! :)

I love the swirls and pearls bracelet what are you doing with the celadon simplicity? I want to see it if you add to it!!
Your work is really fun and fanciful, and you are right, the seed beaders is where it's at!

The imagination you put into your pieces is admirable! Indeed, seed beading seems to allow for such a diversity of shapes!

bairozan said...

I'm not quite sure my comment was saved - I was saying that seed beads allow for a variety of shapes, incorporated into a single item and you have made a good use of this :) I am also hoping to see what you make of the other intricate components!
